JOB OVERVIEW

We are building a mobile-first PWA (Progressive Web App) for a women's health and wellness brand. The app includes daily check-ins, habit tracking, AI-assisted task management, a structured weekly workflow, milestone and reward mechanics, and a subscription paywall.

Design and wireframes are currently in progress. The developer will begin foundational build work immediately and advance in parallel with the designer — working slightly behind the design pace as each section is approved and handed off. You must be comfortable working in a structured, phased handoff process rather than waiting for everything to be complete before starting.

What this role covers
This is a full-time build role covering the complete lifecycle of the app:

Phase 1 — Build: Full PWA build from approved wireframes, phased in parallel with design
Phase 2 — Beta: Support beta testing, triage feedback, and integrate changes rapidly
Phase 3 — Launch (Version 1): Assist with all technical details of getting the app live and fully operational
Phase 4 — Version 2: Add additional features and improvements to reach v2 quickly after launch
Ongoing: Continued maintenance, reliability, and feature support post-launch
As a bonus, if the app can be structured or built in a way that makes a future App Store and/or Google Play submission straightforward, that is a strong advantage — please speak to this in your application.

What you'll build
You must have demonstrated experience with all of the following:

PWA development (installable on mobile home screen, push notifications, offline handling)
External relational database setup and architecture (Xano or Supabase preferred)
Stripe Subscriptions integration — trials, coupons, billing lifecycle, lapsed account handling
AI API integration (prompt-based features, structured output handling)
User authentication with separated identity and analytics data layers
Push notifications + email reminders (SendGrid) + optional SMS (Twilio)
CSS and/or Lottie animations triggered by app logic events
Web Speech API or equivalent voice input integration
Product analytics wiring from day one (Mixpanel or PostHog)
Front-end: Bubble (PWA) or a lightweight web framework — you must be able to advise on the best option and provide a detailed quote for each

Ongoing responsibilities
Troubleshooting and bug resolution
Mobile responsiveness across devices
Basic security practices and data backups

You must be
Very skilled technically
Excellent in written English
Strong on attention to detail
A clear, reliable communicator
Have at least 5 years of direct, relevant experience
Comfortable working in an active, evolving build environment alongside a designer
Willing to sign an NDA with assignment of all intellectual property

Hours & communication
Preferred compensation is per-phase project pricing — please provide a breakdown by phase in your application. If proposing hourly, the minimum is 45 hours/week.
Must be available for a 20–30 minute Microsoft Teams call, Monday–Friday, sometime between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm AST
Remaining hours are flexible as long as work is completed on time
Must provide daily updates and weekly project summaries

To apply
Please include all of the following — incomplete applications will not be reviewed:

Links to 2–3 PWAs or complex web apps you have built (describe your specific role on each)
Your experience with each technology listed above — be specific
Whether you would recommend Bubble or a custom framework for this type of app, and why
Your experience working in parallel with a designer on an active build — how do you handle handoffs and scope changes mid-build?
Your thoughts on structuring the app for a potential future App Store / Google Play submission
A proposed per-phase price breakdown, or your hourly rate if that is your preference
Include the word rain somewhere in your message so we know you read the full post carefully
Proactively suggesting better ways to structure the app, automate tasks, and improve reliability over time
