Junior Designer/Illustrator

Junior Designer, Remote Hourly
Premium US Skincare Brand

We are hiring a junior designer for a premium direct-to-consumer skincare brand. We need someone who can create clean, modern, premium visuals across product labels, website assets, email graphics, and marketing materials.

This role is remote and async-friendly. New graduates are welcome. Portfolio quality matters more than years of experience.

Rate
Starting at $5/hr USD
Performance review after 90 days, with potential rate increase for strong work, reliability, and speed.

Hours
10-20 hours per week to start.
Initial work will focus mainly on product packaging/labels and email or website graphics. The scope may expand over time based on performance and business needs.

Pacific timezone overlap is appreciated, but not required.

Responsibilities
• Product packaging and label design in Adobe Illustrator
• Website graphics and assets in Figma
• Email design assets
• Marketing materials and social media graphics
• Light brand and visual system support

Required Skills
• Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
• Strong Figma skills
• Experience using AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or ChatGPT
• Must be able to show specific examples of work created or improved using AI tools
• Strong typography sense
• Clean, modern, premium design aesthetic
• Solid written English communication

Preferred Experience
• E-commerce, beauty, skincare, wellness, or premium consumer brand design
• Label or packaging design samples

Paid Trial Project
Selected applicants will complete a small paid trial project before being hired. The trial will be approximately 1-2 hours and paid as a fixed project, typically $10-$20 USD, depending on the task.

The public post does not disclose the brand name. Shortlisted applicants will receive more details before the paid trial. An NDA may be required before receiving confidential brand assets, product details, or internal briefs.

Ownership / Work Product
All work product created for this role is owned by the brand upon delivery and payment. The designer assigns all rights to brand assets, designs, source files, and deliverables created for the brand.
