Remote Accountant / Bookkeeper for Norwegian B2B Company
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (we are flexible)

ABOUT US
We are growing rapidly and are looking for a skilled and reliable accountant / bookkeeper to join our remote team and support us with day-to-day finance and accounting tasks.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Certified / Authorized Accountant or Auditor (CPA or equivalent) with a university degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, who can work remotely and assist us with various accounting and financial tasks.
You will work directly with the founder and management, and play an important role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly as we continue to grow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily bookkeeping and recording of transactions
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- VAT preparation and reporting support (Norwegian MVA)
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assisting with payroll-related tasks and documentation
- Maintaining and improving our accounting systems and processes (Tripletex, Rackbeat)
- Supporting integration and reconciliation between Rackbeat (inventory/ERP) and Tripletex (accounting)
- Invoice handling, follow-ups, and credit control
- Budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis
- Liaising with our Norwegian accountant/auditor when needed
- Ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as the business grows
REQUIREMENTS
- Certified / Authorized Accountant, CPA, or qualified Auditor (must hold a recognized professional certification)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping and accounting
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) — you will communicate with us in English
- Strong knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Tripletex, Visma, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Stable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office setup
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential financial information
NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)
- Experience with Tripletex and/or Rackbeat
- Previous experience working with Scandinavian or European clients
- Familiarity with Norwegian VAT (MVA) and accounting principles
- Experience with e-commerce / WooCommerce accounting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
