Position Overview
The Solar Designer will be responsible for creating solar system designs that are accurate, code-conscious, and ready to support both sales and project execution. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, technically skilled, and experienced in solar design software.

Key Responsibilities
- Create residential and commercial solar system designs based on project requirements
- Develop layout plans, equipment placement, and system configurations
- Review site information, photos, and project details to produce accurate designs
- Ensure designs align with project scope, utility requirements, and installation needs
- Revise designs as needed based on feedback from sales, operations, or installers
- Support the team with design documentation and project coordination
- Help maintain organized project files and design records

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in solar design
- Must be familiar with Aurora
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential solar projects
- Familiarity with permit plan sets, utility requirements, or installation workflows is an asset
- Background in solar, electrical, or construction-related design work is a plus
