The Financial Reporting Analyst provides high?quality financial analysis, reporting, and assurance material to support executive decision?making, Board reporting, and internal control frameworks. The role focuses on turning complex financial, contractual, and operational data into clear, decision?ready insights.
Key responsibilities include preparing Board?ready financial reports and executive summaries; supporting revenue assurance, contract reconciliation, and budget analysis; producing variance analysis, trend analysis, and forward?looking insights; and developing clear, evidence?based commentary aligned to governance and audit expectations. The analyst also supports internal audit cycles, assurance dashboards, and compliance with New Zealand reporting standards and organisational policies.
The role requires strong analytical capability, excellent written communication, and the ability to work independently across large datasets and fragmented information sources. Outputs must be concise, accurate, and suitable for senior executives, audit committees, and Boards.
Must have a strong experience and ability with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Experience with Xero beneficial but not required.
Inititally looking for part-time, but role could expand to full-time for the right candidate.
