ABOUT THE COMPANY
Candor Marketing is a done-for-you digital marketing agency based in the United States. We serve clients across multiple industries including health and wellness clinics, home services, property management, gyms and fitness, food service, and more. We help our clients generate leads, book appointments, and grow their businesses using paid advertising, organic content, and GoHighLevel automation.

GoHighLevel is the backbone of everything we deliver. We build full backend systems for our clients inside GHL every single day — lead capture, CRM pipelines, automations, follow-up sequences, and everything in between. We are looking for someone who doesn't just know GHL well. We are looking for someone who is genuinely elite at it.

We are not looking for someone decent at GoHighLevel. We are not looking for someone good or even great. We are looking for someone who is among the best in the world at this platform — someone who has built hundreds of automations, troubleshot every integration imaginable, and can walk into any client account and immediately know what needs to happen.
Before you read any further, understand this: this role requires you to work American business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. You must be available and active on Slack during those hours every single workday. This is the most important operational requirement of this role. If you cannot commit to this, please do not apply.

THE ROLE
The GHL Team Lead owns all GoHighLevel builds, systems, and client account management across our agency. You are the internal expert. You set the standard. You make sure every lead form connects to the right backend workflow, every automation fires correctly, every tag is applied with intention, and every client account is running like a machine.

You will work closely with our media buyer to make sure the backend systems you build are aligned with what's happening on the ad side — so leads don't fall through the cracks and every dollar we spend on ads converts as efficiently as possible. This is a collaborative, results-driven role. You own the backend. You protect the results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead Form & Backend Integration

Connect lead forms from Facebook, Google, landing pages, and other sources directly into GHL sub-accounts
Map form fields to CRM contacts, pipelines, and trigger conditions with precision
Ensure every lead that comes in is captured, tagged, routed, and followed up with automatically
Troubleshoot broken form connections, missed webhooks, and integration failures fast

SMS & Email Automations

Build multi-step SMS automation sequences for lead follow-up, appointment reminders, reactivation campaigns, and more
Build email automation workflows including nurture sequences, confirmation flows, and re-engagement campaigns
Write or refine automation copy that actually converts — not just placeholder text
A/B test messaging cadences and optimize based on response and booking rates

Lead Tagging & CRM Logic

Build and manage a clean, logical tagging system across all client accounts
Apply tags based on lead source, behavior, pipeline stage, funnel entry point, and campaign
Use tags to trigger the right automations, segment contacts correctly, and keep CRM data clean
Audit tag logic regularly to prevent bloat, conflicts, and misfires

Pipeline & Funnel Management

Build and maintain sales pipelines and opportunity stages for each client
Set up landing pages, VSL funnels, opt-in pages, and booking flows inside GHL
Ensure calendar integrations, availability settings, and booking confirmations work perfectly
Configure Zapier, Webhooks, and native integrations to connect GHL with outside platforms

Media Buyer Coordination

Work directly with our media buyer to align backend automations with active ad campaigns
Ensure lead forms, tracking, UTMs, and CRM pipelines are set up before campaigns go live
Communicate clearly when backend issues are affecting lead flow or campaign performance
Proactively flag anything on the GHL side that could be costing us conversion efficiency

Multi-Industry Client Management

Manage GHL sub-accounts across a diverse client base including clinics, home service companies, gyms, property management, food service businesses, and general service clients

Understand that different industries have different follow-up logic, sales cycles, and automation needs — and build accordingly
Set up new client sub-accounts from scratch and audit existing ones regularly

Document all builds clearly inside ClickUp so the team always knows what's been done and why

Team Leadership

Serve as the internal subject matter expert for all things GHL
Maintain SOPs and build documentation so nothing is dependent on one person
Help train and onboard future GHL support hires as the team scales
Attend the weekly team call and communicate clearly on progress, blockers, and priorities


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Non-Negotiable Skills:

Elite-level GoHighLevel experience — agency sub-account management at scale
Mastery of GHL workflows, triggers, conditions, pipelines, and automation logic
Deep experience connecting lead forms from multiple sources into GHL backends
Expert-level SMS and email automation build experience
Sophisticated understanding of lead tagging systems and CRM data hygiene
Experience building and optimizing landing pages and funnels inside GHL
Full command of GHL integrations: Facebook, Google, Twilio, Mailgun, Zapier, Webhooks
EXTREME proficiency in English and clear, proactive communication
Detail-obsessed — you QA everything before it goes live and you catch your own mistakes

Highly Preferred:

Experience working inside a digital marketing agency managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
Familiarity with Meta Ads lead integrations and how ad backend connects to GHL
ManyChat or chat automation experience
ClickUp or equivalent project management workflow
Experience across multiple industries — the more diverse the better
Basic HTML or CSS for custom GHL page edits

You have coordinated directly with an ads team to make sure front end and back end were aligned
You can look at a broken GHL workflow and diagnose the problem in minutes
Your builds don't just work on day one — they hold up for months without breaking


AVAILABILITY & COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS — THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
This is not a flexible guideline. This is a firm operational requirement. Read it carefully.
Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). These are your required working hours. No exceptions. No flexibility on this. If your time zone makes this a hardship, please do not apply.

Slack Availability: You must be active on Slack during every working hour of every workday. Slack is our primary communication tool. Being logged in is not enough — you must be present, attentive, and responsive throughout the day.
Response Time: You are expected to reply to any Slack message within 20 minutes or less during working hours. If something urgent comes up and you need more time, you acknowledge the message immediately and give a timeframe. Silence is not acceptable.

Going Offline: If you need to step away during working hours for any reason, you must notify the team in Slack before you go. Disappearing without notice — even briefly — is not acceptable.

Going dark without warning during working hours is grounds for immediate termination of contract. We have had issues with this in the past and we will not tolerate it. We are a fast-moving agency and our clients depend on us being reachable and responsive. We expect the same from every member of our team.

Weekly Team Call: You are required to attend a one-hour team call once per week. The day and time will be agreed upon together at the time of hire and will fall within working hours.
