JOB OVERVIEW

Role: Full-Time General Manager (Web & App Agency)
Company: Dorset Tech ( ---------- )
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM UK Time (4pm - midnight Manilla Time), Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Location: Remote

The Role
We are seeking a highly capable and commercially minded General Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our agency. You will be the owner's right-hand person, taking full ownership of the company's daily functions so the owner can focus exclusively on product and project development.

This is a senior leadership role. You will manage the remote team (including our Project Managers, Developers, and Designers), handle all customer escalations, and ensure the financial health of the business. Because you will be the face of the company for many of our UK clients, exceptional English communication skills and a talent for sales and negotiation are essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Day-to-Day Leadership: Run the daily operations of the agency, ensuring all departments (development, design, SEO, support) are functioning efficiently and meeting targets.
• Team Management & Training: Manage the entire remote team, including conducting performance reviews, identifying skill gaps, and delivering or coordinating staff training.
• Customer Relations: Act as the highest point of escalation for customer complaints, resolving issues swiftly and professionally to maintain our excellent reputation.
• Sales & Enquiries: Handle incoming sales enquiries, pitch our services (web design, app development, SEO, hosting), and close deals. A strong commercial mindset is crucial here.
• Financial Oversight: Manage day-to-day cashflow, monitor profitability on projects, and ensure the agency remains financially healthy.
• Reporting: Provide the owner with clear, concise, and accurate reports on company performance, sales metrics, and operational bottlenecks.

Requirements
• Executive Experience: Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Director, or similar senior leadership role, preferably within a digital agency, web development, or tech environment.
• Commercial Acumen: You must be comfortable with sales. You don't need to be a high-pressure salesperson, but you must be able to confidently discuss technical solutions with clients and close inbound leads.
• Financial Literacy: Experience managing cashflow, budgets, and basic financial reporting.
• Exceptional English: Great spoken and written English. You must be highly articulate and persuasive when speaking with UK clients and handling sensitive complaints.
• Availability: Must be available to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM UK time (which is 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM / Midnight in the Philippines), Monday through Friday.
• Leadership Skills: A natural leader who can inspire, train, and hold a remote team accountable.
