US Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with hands-on experience in QuickBooks and full-cycle accounting. This role is responsible for managing the complete accounting process - from transaction recording to financial statement preparation. Experience in property or short-term rental accounting is a plus, but not required.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience handling end-to-end accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, and can work independently with high accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Accounting
- Handle full-cycle accounting: journal entries, general ledger, and month-end close
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Ensure proper account classification and chart of accounts management

2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Perform variance analysis and explain key movements
- Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with management needs

3. Bank & Account Reconciliation
- Perform regular bank, credit card, and clearing account reconciliations
- Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain clean and reconciled books at all times

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage vendor bills, payments, and expense tracking
- Monitor receivables and follow up on collections if needed
- Ensure proper documentation and approval processes

5. QuickBooks Management
- Maintain and manage QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Ensure proper setup, integrations, and data accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues and support improvements in workflows

6. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain organized records and audit-ready documentation
- Support tax filings and compliance requirements
- Follow and improve accounting processes and SOPs

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a big plus)
- 5+ years of accounting experience with full-cycle accounting
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Solid understanding of Financial statements, Reconciliations, General ledger and month-end close
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently

Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience in property, real estate, or short-term rental accounting
- Familiarity with tools like Guesty, AppFolio, or similar
- Experience with multi-entity accounting
