JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly capable, sharp, and client-ready Manager of Accounting & Tax to join our firm. This is a senior role for someone who can operate at a high level across both tax and accounting services, with the judgment, technical strength, and communication skills to lead client work confidently.

This person must be able to perform partner-level income tax return reviews, while also stepping into return preparation when needed.

They should be well-versed in the broader accounting function, including areas such as payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, bookkeeping oversight, and related client support. Just as important, this person must be an excellent communicator who can interact with clients clearly, professionally, and confidently.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with ownership, responsiveness, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities
Review business and individual income tax returns at a high technical level, with the ability to catch issues, identify risks, and improve quality before finalization

Assist with tax return preparation as needed, especially during busy periods or when complexity requires senior involvement

Support and oversee accounting services for clients, including bookkeeping review, payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, and related compliance work

Answer technical questions from staff and help troubleshoot accounting and tax issues across client accounts

Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, accounting issues, deadlines, open items, and recommendations

Review financial information for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness
Identify issues proactively and help drive clean, practical resolutions

Support internal staff by reviewing work, providing feedback, and helping maintain quality standards

Help manage deadlines and ensure work moves forward accurately and on time across multiple clients

Step into complex client matters with confidence and professionalism


Required Qualifications

-Active CPA required
-Strong experience in US public accounting across both tax and accounting services
-Ability to perform high-level review of income tax returns, with judgment consistent with a senior manager or partner-track professional
-Ability and willingness to also prepare returns when needed
-Strong working knowledge of accounting services, including bookkeeping, payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, and related client compliance matters
-Strong written and verbal English communication skills
-Ability to communicate directly with clients in a polished, clear, and confident manner
-Ability to work U.S. business hours, with ET preferred
-Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to work independently
