Media Buyer — Meta Ads Specialist
Reports to: Head of Growth / Marketing Director
Full-time | Performance Marketing | Paid Social
About the role
We're looking for a results-driven, high-performance Media Buyer who lives and breathes Meta advertising. You've managed substantial budgets, know how to scale without blowing ROAS, and can back everything up with hard data. If you've turned paid social into a predictable growth engine, we want to talk.
At a glance
Minimum ROAS: 3.0+
Monthly spend managed: $10k+
Experience required: 2+ years Meta Ads
Track record: Proven ability to scale
Key responsibilities
Own end-to-end campaign management across Meta Ads Manager — from strategy and build to optimisation and reporting, across multiple accounts simultaneously.
Strategically scale ad spend — increasing budgets and expanding audiences while maintaining a minimum 3.0 ROAS, using proven budget-pacing and bid management techniques.
Run structured A/B and multivariate tests across creative, copy, audiences, landing pages, and offers — building a clear testing log and acting on results with speed.
Brief and collaborate with the creative team to produce high-converting ad assets — you understand what makes a Meta ad stop the scroll and drive conversions, and you can communicate that clearly.
Monitor account health daily — diagnosing performance drops, frequency issues, audience fatigue, and delivery problems before they impact results.
Build and manage full-funnel campaign structures — prospecting (TOF), retargeting (MOF/BOF), and retention — with a clear understanding of how each layer interacts.
Set up and maintain accurate tracking — Meta Pixel, Conversions API (CAPI), custom events, and UTM parameters — ensuring data integrity across all campaigns.
Deliver clear weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights — no vanity metrics, just ROAS, CPA, CTR, CVR, and the story they tell.
Stay ahead of Meta platform updates, algorithm changes, and new ad formats — proactively adapting strategy before performance is affected.
What we require
Proven spend experience: you must have personally managed Meta ad accounts at $10k+ monthly spend. You'll be asked to provide account-level results, not agency-level attribution.
Demonstrated ROAS performance: a consistent track record of sustaining 3.0+ ROAS at scale. You must be able to show this with real data.
Deep Meta Ads Manager expertise: campaign objective selection, CBO vs ABO strategy, Advantage+ campaigns, broad vs interest targeting, lookalike audiences, and manual vs automated bidding.
Scaling methodology: you have a clear, repeatable process for scaling budgets — whether through horizontal expansion, budget multipliers, or audience diversification — without destabilising campaigns.
Strong analytical skills: comfortable working with GA4, Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar attribution tools. You don't just read dashboards — you interrogate data to form hypotheses.
Tracking & measurement fluency: solid understanding of iOS 14+ attribution impact, CAPI implementation, and how to maintain reporting accuracy in a privacy-first landscape.
Creative instinct: you understand performance creative — hooks, UGC formats, video vs static — and can brief a team or give concrete, actionable feedback on ad assets.
Self-sufficient and accountable: you flag problems early, own outcomes, and don't wait for direction. You manage your accounts like they're your own business.
Nice to have
Experience running Google Ads, TikTok Ads, or YouTube alongside Meta as part of a blended paid strategy.
Experience in DTC / e-commerce environments where ROAS and blended MER are primary KPIs.
Shopify analytics experience and understanding of how paid social integrates with on-site conversion rate.
Experience managing multiple client accounts with varying spend levels, verticals, and objectives.
Meta Blueprint certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
Interview process
Application review — Submit a brief summary of your highest-spend account, the ROAS achieved, and how you scaled it.
Intro call (30 min) — Walk us through your experience, biggest wins, and how you think about scaling.
Paid task / case study — A short paid exercise: audit a real or sample account and present your findings and action plan.
Final interview — Deep dive with the hiring manager. We'll go through your case study and align on strategy.
Important note
We take results seriously. During the process, you'll be expected to share real performance data (anonymised if needed) that validates your experience. Candidates who cannot demonstrate their ROAS track record with data will not progress.
