JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Civil Engineer (Remote) – Construction Drawings, Estimating Support & Project Documentation
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (open to both)
Salary Range: Negotiable based on experience
Hours: Flexible, with overlap during US Eastern Time business hours preferred

About Us
We are a US-based construction and contracting group operating across multiple trades — commercial roofing, flooring, solar, and home improvement. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our remote team and support our estimating, drafting, and project documentation workflows.

What You'll Do
You will work directly with our project managers and estimators to produce the technical deliverables that keep our jobs moving. Day-to-day work includes preparing and reviewing construction drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, performing quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural plans, drafting site plans and detail sheets, reviewing specifications to flag scope gaps, supporting bid preparation with engineering calculations, and helping organize submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings. You will also assist with as-built documentation and produce clean, professional markups for owner and GC submissions.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. At least three years of professional experience in civil, structural, or construction engineering. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit and Bluebeam Revu experience strongly preferred. Comfortable reading commercial construction drawings and specifications across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. Solid understanding of takeoff methods and construction means and methods. Excellent written and spoken English — you will be communicating directly with US-based staff and occasionally with clients. Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet work environment, and a computer capable of running CAD software smoothly.

Nice to Have
Experience with US building codes (IBC, IRC) and ASCE 7. Familiarity with roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen), flooring assemblies, or solar PV layouts. Experience with PlanSwift, RoofSnap, or similar takeoff tools. Prior experience working with American contractors or design-build firms.

What We Offer
Competitive pay benchmarked to your skill level and experience, with raises tied to performance. Long-term, stable work — we are looking to build a relationship, not fill a one-off project. Paid time off after probation. Christmas bonus (13th month equivalent). Direct mentorship from experienced US-based PMs and estimators. Flexible schedule once you're up to speed.

How to Apply
Please send (1) your updated CV, (2) a portfolio or 2–3 sample drawings you have personally produced (PDF preferred), (3) a brief paragraph describing your most challenging project and your specific role on it, and (4) your expected monthly salary in USD.

In the subject line of your application, please write "Civil Engineer – [Your Name]" so we know you read the full posting. Applications without a portfolio sample will not be reviewed.

We look forward to meeting you.
