Roofing Estimator - Commercial & Residential (Project-Based | 20hrs/week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roofing Estimator to support our client's team on a project basis. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for both commercial and residential roofing projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and labor costs, and can confidently assess project requirements to deliver precise and timely bids.

Key Responsibilities
-Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial and residential roofing projects
-Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to define scope of work
-Perform material take-offs and detailed labor calculations
-Evaluate project risks, site conditions, and cost variables that may impact pricing
-Source, solicit, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes
-Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to clarify project requirements
-Maintain and update pricing databases, cost benchmarks, and estimation tools
-Ensure all estimates align with company standards, timelines, and profitability targets
-Assist with bid preparation, submission, and client follow-ups

Qualifications
-Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator for both commercial and residential projects
-Strong knowledge of various roofing systems
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
-Proficiency in estimation tools
-Solid understanding of construction costs, materials, and labor pricing
-Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
-Excellent communication and organizational abilities
