Senior Estimator – QC / Reviewer

Blitz Contractor Solutions is looking for a Senior Estimator (QC / Reviewer) to lead the review and quality control of all estimating outputs. This role is focused on ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across takeoffs, cost builds, and final estimates.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for reviewing estimates before submission—validating quantities, scope coverage, pricing logic, and overall structure. This is a high-responsibility role that directly impacts bid quality and overall performance.

This role is not focused on doing takeoffs—you are responsible for checking, correcting, and improving the work of the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Review quantity takeoffs for accuracy and completeness
- Validate scope coverage against drawings and specifications
- Identify missing scope, overlaps, and inconsistencies
- Review cost build-ups (labor, materials, subcontractor pricing)
- Ensure estimates follow structured templates and standards
- Flag risks, assumptions, and unclear scope early
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to estimators
- Maintain consistency across all estimate outputs
- Support final bid reviews prior to submission

Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years experience in construction estimating
- Strong exposure to US and/or Canada construction projects
- Proven experience reviewing or leading estimates
- Ability to read and interpret full drawing sets and specifications
- Strong understanding of scope breakdown, cost structures, and pricing logic
- High attention to detail and ability to catch errors quickly
- Experience with PlanSwift and/or Bluebeam
- Ability to manage multiple estimates under deadlines
- Strong communication—clear, direct, and structured feedback

Work Setup
- Full-time, remote role
- Requires dedicated availability (no concurrent full-time roles)
- Must be responsive and able to work within a structured workflow

Application Requirement (Mandatory)

To be considered, candidates must submit:
- Submit 1–2 full estimates (preferably US/Canada residential) with a quantity takeoff summary, cost breakdown (labor, materials, subcontractors), and a clear, organized structure by scope. For one sample, include a brief QC / review explanation outlining how you validated quantities, checked scope completeness, verified pricing logic, and identified key risks or assumptions. Applications without samples and explanation will not be reviewed.

Selected candidates may also be given a short QC test to identify issues within a sample estimate.
