JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for a talented, fast-moving Video Editor who wants to grow long-term with our team as we scale digital ecommerce and SaaS businesses. You will spend 100% of your time editing direct response video ads for Meta, working closely with our Creative Strategist, UGC creators, and the broader team to produce ads that convert.

We've been building in SaaS and ecommerce for 5+ years, and we are now doubling down on digital products, starting with ---------- and several additional projects currently in development.

If you love editing high-performing direct response ads, experimenting with new styles and pacing, and pushing creative boundaries, this role is for you.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
You will be responsible for editing direct response video ads end-to-end, primarily for Meta. You'll work from our large in-house UGC library, including product b-roll, non-product b-roll, and footage from multiple UGC creators, and turn it into scroll-stopping ads with strong hooks, tight pacing, and clear conversion-focused storytelling. You'll also have the freedom to mix in stock clips, screen recordings, and AI-generated content where it fits.

You will work directly with our Creative Strategist, following briefs and scripts precisely, but you're also expected to bring your own ideas to the table, new edit styles, new hook formats, new pacing experiments, and new ways to make our ads stand out.

THIS ROLE IS FOR SOMEONE WHO:
Lives and breathes video editing for direct response, understands what makes someone stop scrolling in the first 5 seconds, and obsesses over hooks, pacing, captions, sound design, and retention. You should be comfortable taking creative direction but also confident enough to suggest better ideas and experiment on your own.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your main focus will be editing direct response video ads daily, pulling from our UGC library, cutting footage, adding captions, sound effects, music, b-roll, motion graphics, and on-screen text to maximize hook strength and watch time. You'll follow scripts and briefs from our Creative Strategist, then iterate quickly on variations, hooks, and angles for testing.

You'll also be open-minded about creating AI video hooks and full AI-driven video ads, experimenting with new tools and formats as the space evolves. We expect you to actively look for inspiration on x.com, study top-performing ads from competitors, and pull ideas from people in completely different industries to bring fresh editing styles and formats into our ads.

REQUIREMENTS:
You should have real experience editing direct response video ads, ideally for ecommerce brands, with a portfolio of ads you've cut that have actually run and performed. Strong skills in Premiere Pro / After Effects / Davinci Resolve are essential, along with a sharp eye for hooks, pacing, captions, and sound design. You should also be able to work fast, handle multiple variations per concept, and turn around edits quickly while staying organized when working with a large UGC library.

YOU SHOULD ALSO:
Be open-minded and eager to try new editing styles and AI tools, active on x.com and following ad creative trends, highly proactive and independent, and able to both follow a creative brief precisely and bring your own strong ideas.

HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience editing direct response ads for ecommerce brands, especially ads that have scaled on Meta. Big plus if you're skilled at producing realistic AI voiceovers with ElevenLabs. Even bigger plus if you can create full AI UGC videos and hooks with properly synced voice audio. Bonus if you've worked with UGC-heavy ad accounts at scale.

COMPENSATION:
Starting salary is $800/month based on experience and track record, with performance-based bonuses and long-term growth opportunities. Our goal is to build a small but extremely strong team that can scale multiple businesses together over the next several years.
