JOB OVERVIEW

We are a personalized party supply and gift business based in Canada. We create custom products — face cutouts, cupcake toppers, party banners, and more — that help people celebrate the people they love. We have a loyal customer base and a product that naturally generates joy and shareable ---------- nts. Now we're ready to grow our online presence and drive real traffic to our website.

We're looking for a creative, strategic Social Media Manager who can build and run our brand's social presence from the ground up, producing content that stops the scroll, grows our audience, and drives people to our website. This isn't just a posting role. We want someone who understands what makes content perform, thinks in stories, and knows how to use AI tools to work smarter and produce more.

There's also a strong video ad component to this role. The content you create for organic social will feed directly into our Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns, so an understanding of what makes paid content convert is a real asset.

What You'll Do
Content Creation & Publishing
- Plan, create, and publish engaging content across Facebook and Instagram (and TikTok as the brand grows)
- Produce a mix of formats — reels, static posts, carousels, stories, and short-form videos
- Develop a content calendar aligned to our products, seasonal ---------- nts, and campaign goals
- Write captions that reflect our brand voice — warm, celebratory, and personal

Video & Visual Production
- Create short-form video content, including product showcases, behind-the-scenes, and celebration ---------- nts
- Design marketing stills for both organic posts and paid ad placements
- Use AI tools to scale creative output — lifestyle mockups, motion graphics, video editing, and more
- Maintain visual consistency and brand identity across all content

Ad Creative Support
- ---------- organic content into Facebook and Instagram ad creatives
- Understand the difference between content that builds an audience and content that converts a cold prospect
- Collaborate with the business owner on campaign briefs and creative direction
- Monitor creative performance and bring ideas for improvement based on results

Community & Growth
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and build a community around the brand
- Track key metrics (reach, engagement, link clicks, follower growth) and report weekly
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and what's working in the celebration/gifting niche

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years managing social media for a product-based brand or eCommerce business
- Strong video creation skills — comfortable creating, editing, and producing short-form content
- Experience creating content for Facebook and Instagram, with awareness of what performs in paid placements
- Active user of AI tools in your creative workflow
- A portfolio or live accounts that show real content you've created — not just scheduled posts
- Strong copywriting instincts — you understand hooks, CTAs, and how to write for a scroll-stopping caption
- Self-directed and organized — able to plan a month of content and execute without heavy oversight
- Excellent written English and professional communication

Nice to Have
- Experience in celebration, gifting, lifestyle, or personalized product niches
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or experience running boosted posts
- Basic graphic design skills
- Experience with scheduling tools
