We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable EDD Disability Coordinator to assist patients and healthcare providers with disability insurance claims through the California Employment Development Department (EDD).
In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely submission of medical documentation, guide patients through the claims process, and act as a liaison between patients and medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Documentation: Collect, review, and submit required medical reports, physician statements, and health records for disability claims.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate the exchange of necessary information.
- Claims Assistance: Guide patients through Disability Insurance (DI) and Paid Family Leave (PFL) applications, addressing questions and resolving issues.
- Policy Support: Assist in developing and updating internal processes related to disability claims and documentation.
Qualifications
Experience in medical administration, healthcare support, or insurance claims is preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Familiarity with EDD, DI, or PFL processes is a plus
Ability to work during Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours
