Shopify Ecommerce Tech Stack Developer

About Us

We’re a fast-growing ecommerce business based in Dublin, operating across multiple European markets. Our stack is built on Shopify at the core, with Klaviyo, Gorgias and WaveOMS driving marketing, customer support and operations.

We’re now looking to bring in a hands-on developer to own and evolve this ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on AI automation, system integration and scalability.

This is not a theme-tweaker role. You’ll be designing workflows, removing manual work, and building smart automation that actually moves the business forward.

The Role

You will be responsible for architecting, integrating and automating our ecommerce tech stack, ensuring all systems talk to each other cleanly and intelligently.

Your focus will be on:

Automation first

Data flowing once, correctly

Reducing manual operations across marketing, support and fulfilment

Using AI where it makes real commercial sense


Key Responsibilities

Shopify

Develop and maintain custom Shopify functionality (Liquid, APIs, webhooks)

Build and manage private/public apps as needed

Ensure clean data structures for customers, orders, tags and metafields

Support multi-market and operational scaling


Klaviyo

Advanced event tracking and custom metrics

Automate lifecycle flows using behavioural and transactional data

Integrate Shopify and WaveOMS data for smarter segmentation

Experiment with AI-driven personalisation and optimisation


Gorgias

Build automations to reduce support tickets and response time

Implement AI-assisted routing, tagging and auto-responses

Integrate order, shipment and customer data from Shopify and WaveOMS

Improve agent efficiency with smart tooling



AI & Automation

Design AI-powered workflows (customer support, ops, marketing, internal tools)

Work with APIs (Gemini, automation platforms, custom logic)

Identify high-impact automation opportunities across the business

Build scalable, documented systems (not one-off hacks)


What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have

Proven experience working with Shopify, Klaviyo and Gorgias

Strong API and integration experience

Real-world automation experience (not just theory)

Comfortable designing systems end-to-end

Experience working remotely with ecommerce teams


Nice-to-Have

Experience with OMS/ERP/WMS systems

Experience with AI tools, LLMs or AI-driven workflows

Familiarity with tools like Zapier, Make, custom middleware or serverless functions

Ecommerce experience across multiple markets or high order volume
