JOB OVERVIEW

Under the supervision and guidance of his immediate superior, the Audit Assistant is responsible in assisting the Department Head for Audit and/or Assistant Vice President for Executive Office in reviewing and assessing processes, controls and practices, as well as related procedures in accordance with established auditing procedures of the Company. The purpose of these assessments is to provide the management with an objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve Company’s operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the following:

Developing the scope for operational, information technologies, financial and security audit and develop appropriate audit steps necessary to promote effective audit coverage for management approval. Establish a systematic methodology , including checklists, to monitor and analyze business procedures and activities of business of the Company
Conducting operational, information technologies, financial and security audits in accordance with the established auditing procedures. Identify and determine discrepancies related to the organizational processes and to examine the compliance with rules and regulations set by the management. Provide assurance that operations and processes conform to current policies and procedures.
Performing fieldwork in all Branches and other field offices of the Company
Analyzing operational and management processes and system controls’ effectiveness and efficiency in view to improve them and propose value added recommendations.
Participating in the development of new information, financial and security systems to ensure that efficient and effective controls are incorporated.
Identifying control and processes weaknesses, document main control points and provide evidential support for report recommendations.
Presenting to top management the results, recommendations and conclusions of audit reviews. To make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management's response and implementation
Maintaining respectful and effective communications and relationships with management and staff of areas under review.
Reviewing year-end inventory of company equipment, furniture, fixtures, policy forms and other accountable forms
Performing other related functions as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.
