Job Overview:
I am looking for a dedicated, long-term technical partner to take "ownership" of my Shopify store’s performance. I don't want an order-taker; I want a thinker. You will be responsible for testing apps, fixing site bugs, and helping me scale our revenue through technical optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
App Logic & Migration: You will be the point person for testing new apps. You’ll lead the migration to Rebuy, setting up AI rules and Smart Carts to increase our AOV.
Theme Development & Fixes: Directly editing Liquid, CSS, and JS. You must be comfortable troubleshooting mobile UI issues and site speed bottlenecks.
Weekly "Success" Reports: Every Monday, you will send a summary of what you tested, what the data shows (using Shopify Analytics), and what we should change next.
Proactive Site Health: You will audit the store weekly for broken links, app conflicts, and checkout errors—fixing them before I even see them.
Technical Requirements:
Expert Liquid Knowledge: You can build custom sections from scratch.
Conversion Mindset: You understand that "good code" is code that makes the customer buy more.
Communication: Fluent English. We will communicate primarily via WhatsApp.
Schedule: You must have 3-4 hours of overlap with my late-night shift (10 PM – 2 AM Eastern Time / EST). This allows us to collaborate in real-time.
Compensation & Perks:
Starting Salary: $900 USD / Month (Paid on time, every month).
Path to $1,000+: Once you prove your value and help us grow our AOV/Conversion rate, your pay will increase accordingly.
Direct Access: Work 1-on-1 with the founder. No agency layers or middle-men.
Failure to follow these 4 steps will result in an immediate rejection.
1) Subject Line: Change your subject line to: "UPSTREAM - [Your Name] - Shopify Tech Lead"
2) Loom Video: Record a 1-2 minute video. Introduce yourself and explain one time you caught a technical error on a Shopify site and how you fixed it.
3) The Question: In your application, answer this: "If a Shopify store is loading slowly on mobile, what are the first 3 things you check?"
4) The Detail: What is your favorite pizza topping? (I check this to see if you read the whole post).
