Senior / Junior VA Estimator – Landscaping & Civil Works

Turfpoint P/L is seeking a high-performing VA Estimator to support our growing portfolio of landscape and civil construction projects. This role suits detail-driven professionals who take ownership of their work and can deliver accurate, commercially sound estimates under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate, buildable, and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions
Interpret complex drawings, specifications, and scopes with minimal supervision
Complete detailed quantity take-offs across:
Earthworks and bulk excavation
Drainage, Irrigation and services
Pavements (concrete, paving, asphalt)
Retaining walls and structural elements
Soft landscaping (planting, turf, irrigation)
Use Groundplan efficiently for precise digital take-offs and markups
Critically assess and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities during tendering
Maintain accurate and current cost data aligned with market conditions
Minimum Requirements (Applications not meeting these may not be considered)
Proven estimating experience in landscaping, civil, or related construction projects
Junior: 1–3 years with strong fundamentals
Senior: 3+ years with demonstrated project ownership
Strong proficiency in Groundplan (required) and advanced Excel skills. Experience in Simpro an advantage
Ability to produce BOQs independently and accurately
Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and pricing logic
High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail

Experience pricing end-to-end landscape packages
Ability to identify errors or omissions in drawings/specs
Strong commercial awareness — not just measuring, but thinking critically about cost
Consistent track record of meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy
Clear, confident communication in a remote work environment
