Community & Growth Marketing Manager

Hello! Simpson Tutors is a small company of certified teachers who provide in-home private tutoring to students throughout NYC, Jersey City, and the Miami areas. We are looking to hire a VA to help us grow and increase our client base.

We currently have 2 operations VAs, a finance VA, and a marketing VA. We are looking for someone to work alongside our marketing VA to provide more of the "boots on the ground" content and engagement, while our current marketing VA focuses on ads. Our strongest drivers of new clients are word-of-mouth and google search.

Some of your roles/responsibilities would include:

Content creation - social media posts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), encouraging tutors and families to create/share content
Newsletters to go out to families and tutors
Community engagement online - responding in Facebook mom groups, Reddit threads, engaging with followers, building presence in spaces where we have clients
Google Business Profile management/SEO stuff - getting more reviews, making sure we show up well in local search.
Working alongside operations VAs on our referral program
Outreach to local schools - teachers, counselors, donation opportunities
Other possibilities - yelp, nextdoor, etc.
Outreach to local businesses with similar client base (child therapists, pediatricians, etc.)

The ideal candidate has experience working in or a solid understanding of the education/tutoring landscape.

The position is part-time, 5-10 hours per week to start with the possibility of going up to 15 hours. Pay is $6 USD per hour.
