JOB OVERVIEW

Candor Marketing is a US-based digital marketing agency that produces short-form content for clinics, med spas, and home service businesses across the United States. Our two current editors are fully booked, so we're adding a third editor to the team.
What you'll be editing:

Talking-head Reels/Shorts/TikToks (30-60 seconds)
Hook-driven content with strong first 3 seconds
B-roll overlays, dynamic captions, sound design, zooms, pattern interrupts
20-35 shorts per week across multiple clients

Pay:
$20-$25 USD per finished video, depending on skill and speed. Paid bi-weekly via Wise or PayPal.

You're a fit if you:

Have 2+ years editing short-form content for brands, creators, or agencies
Are fluent in CapCut AND/OR Adobe Premiere Pro
Understand retention editing — hooks, pacing, visual variety, pattern interrupts
Can source B-roll independently (stock sites, licensed libraries)
Write clean, styled captions that match platform trends
Communicate clearly in English (written)
Have reliable high-speed internet and a capable editing machine
Can turn around edits within 24-48 hours

Bonus points if you:

Have edited for US creators, coaches, or marketing agencies
Understand IG Reels / TikTok / YouTube Shorts algorithm nuances
Have motion graphics skills (After Effects a plus, not required)
Are familiar with ---------- , Dropbox, or Google Drive review workflows

You're NOT a fit if:

You only edit long-form YouTube or wedding videos
You need heavy direction on every edit
You can't commit to consistent weekly volume

HOW TO APPLY (read carefully — applications that don't follow this will be ignored):
Send an application with the following, in this exact order:

Subject line: "Short-Form Editor — [Your First Name]"
A 2-3 sentence intro about yourself
3-5 links to short-form videos you've personally edited (Google Drive, Dropbox, or portfolio site)
The software you primarily edit in (CapCut, Premiere, or both)
Your available hours per week
