Insurance Credentialing & Billing Specialist (Psychiatry Practice)

We are seeking a highly experienced credentialing specialist with proven success working with medical or psychiatric practices.
This is not an entry-level role. Only candidates with direct, hands-on experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities: • Complete and manage insurance credentialing for psychiatric providers
• Set up and troubleshoot EFT/ERA enrollment with insurance carriers
• Ensure proper configuration and functionality of Availity for claims tracking
• Verify that all payer portals are active and accessible
• Follow up directly with insurance companies to resolve credentialing or payment issues
• Correct any gaps in current setup (including missing EFTs or inactive claim visibility)
• Perform insurance verifications as needed
Required Experience (NON-NEGOTIABLE): • Proven credentialing experience with insurance panels (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans)
• Direct experience with psychiatry or medical practices
• Strong knowledge of EFT/ERA enrollment processes
• Hands-on experience using Availity to check and manage claims
• Ability to independently contact and resolve issues with insurance carriers
Bonus (Highly Preferred): • Experience with Florida Blue, Horizon BCBS, or similar major payers
• Familiarity with telehealth practices
• Billing and claims troubleshooting experience
