JOB OVERVIEW
Hello! I run a real estate media business in Southwest Florida and I’m looking to bring our video editing in-house. There are plenty of “big box” editors out there, but since they all have giant teams you never know what you’re going to get back each time. I want to bring on someone who can be a true part of our team and work with us to create a consistent, premium look across all of our videos.
We specialize in high-end real estate media and aim to produce some of the highest quality content in our market. I’d love to find someone who can come in confidently, offer suggestions, stay on top of current trends, and even give input on where we can improve on our side of filming as well. We are a team here and want someone who feels like an equal part of the crew. Strong English communication and attention to detail are very important in this role.
Proficiency in Final Cut Pro is preferred, but not required. We’re also open to DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro if that’s what you use. We also create agent on-camera videos and talking head style content, so experience with that type of editing is a plus.
Looking for someone who is familiar with:
• Current real estate video editing trends
• Cinematic color grading
• Creative transitions / masking transitions
• Higgsfield AI or similar tools for effects such as day-to-night, virtual staging, or other tasteful enhancements
• Understanding sound design
• Premium captions / text animations
• Editing both property tour videos and agent-led videos
We are looking to onboard someone fairly soon in preparation for the busier season coming up.
A test edit will be required with your application. We will provide RAW files from a recent shoot so you can show us your style and ability. There will be opportunities for day-to-night transitions, door openings, and other creative edits. You do not need to put together a full-length video. Something around 30–45 seconds is totally fine, as long as it gives us a strong feel for your color grading, music selection, sound design, and most importantly your creativity.
Instructions for the test video:
• Cinematic look and feel
• Color grading is a priority
• Okay to have deeper shadows for a more moody feel if it works
• At least one day-to-sunset transition
• At least one door opening
• Use as many or as few clips as needed to create something strong
Please also add 3D text for at least one key point of speaking, only 1x agent on camera necessary for test and please zoom in and out and track the agents face.
We strive to stay on top of current trends and keep innovating so we can put out the best possible product for our clients. Video is a big part of what drives new business for us, so this role matters.
Looking for someone with full-time availability. I look forward to speaking with you.
RAW Video Files
Please do not apply unless capable of sending this text edit. Thanks very much :D
