About the Role

Penn Express Delivery is a high-volume logistics company managing 50+ delivery routes per day.

We are hiring a Virtual Dispatcher (Closing Shift) to manage end-of-day operations, driver performance, and next-day readiness. This role is critical to keeping operations organized, drivers accountable, and performance on track.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong decision-making, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts at once.

Key Responsibilities (Closing Shift)
Monitor all active routes and ensure drivers stay on pace
Coordinate rescues and operational support as needed
Communicate with drivers regarding delays, issues, and expectations
Confirm next-day driver attendance through calls and messages

Oversee driver return process:
Vehicle condition (damage, cleanliness)
Equipment accountability (phones, keys, fuel cards)

Complete:
Incident reports
Driver coaching and write-ups
Performance tracking
Send end-of-day reports:
Fleet status
Driver performance
Time gaps and inefficiencies
Prepare next-day operations:
Staffing readiness
Schedule adjustments

Performance Expectations
Manage 50+ routes daily with strong organization
Enforce driver accountability and performance standards
Identify and act on issues quickly
Maintain control in a fast-paced environment

Requirements (Must Have)
Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload)
Quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for calls
Laptop or desktop capable of running multiple systems simultaneously
Ability to remain online and responsive for the full shift
Strong communication skills (calls and messaging)
Ability to multitask under pressure
Availability during CST hours
Strong attention to detail and organization
