ADB Employees’ Multi-Purpose Cooperative is urgently in need of a General Manager.

The ADB Employees’ Multi Purpose Cooperative (ADBEMC) is a CDA registered primary multipurpose
cooperative committed to providing fully integrated financial services that enable our members to achieve
economic independence, guided by cooperative principles and democratic governance.
We are now inviting qualified, values driven professionals to apply for the position of General Manager.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The General Manager (GM) is the chief operating executive of ADBEMC and is responsible for the overall
management and administration of the Cooperative’s operations, programs, and services.
The GM ensures the effective implementation of Board approved strategies, policies, and development plans,
while upholding financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and member focused service excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The General Manager shall:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of ADBEMC’s integrated services, including:
o Credit and loan programs
o Savings and deposit products
o Coop store and member services
• Formulate and recommend Annual and Medium-Term Development Plans for Board approval
• Implement Board of Directors’ resolutions and General Assembly decisions
• Ensure, through appropriate supervisory arrangements, the accuracy of financial records, timely
management reports, and sound internal controls
• Supervise, develop, and lead management staff, and provide overall leadership to all ADBEMC
employees, in accordance with cooperative values
• Ensure full compliance with RA 9520 (Philippine Cooperative Code), CDA regulations, and other
applicable laws
• Represent ADBEMC in authorized contracts, partnerships, and official engagements
• Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, accountability, and service to members
QUALIFICATIONS
In accordance with ADBEMC By Laws and CDA standards, the General Manager must:
• Be familiar with cooperative operations, particularly financial and member service cooperatives
• Have at least seven (7) years of progressive management experience, including senior leadership roles
in a cooperative or related business. Experience in cooperatives, financial institutions, or multi-enterprise organizations is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a
related field
• Have no direct or indirect business interest conflicting with ADBEMC operations
• Have no conviction or pending case involving moral turpitude, financial misconduct, or gross negligence
• Be willing to undergo preservice and continuing cooperative training

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
• Appointment and compensation shall be determined by the Board of Directors, subject to General
Assembly approval, in accordance with law and cooperative policies.
• The position is non elective and forms part of ADBEMC’s Management Staff.
