Creative Video Editor / Content Editor (Long-Term)
Company: Australia-Based Media & Content Team
We are an Australian media team producing high-volume content across three brands in the import, export, and logistics industry. Our work includes podcasts, short-form social content, promotional videos, event coverage, interviews, and YouTube content.
We are looking for a long-term creative editor to become a key part of our team.
This Is NOT a Basic Editing Role
We are not looking for someone who simply follows a brief and assembles footage.
We want an editor who can:
Think creatively and improve the final product
Suggest stronger hooks, pacing, cuts, structure, and storytelling
Identify what footage/content will work best for the edit
Communicate proactively when something is missing or can be improved
Help shape the content, not just execute instructions
You should think like a creative partner, not just a technician.
About the Role
You will work closely with our production team on a wide range of content including:
Short-form social videos (Reels / Shorts / LinkedIn)
Podcast episodes and podcast clips
Promo and event highlight videos
Paid social ads
YouTube content
Expected Monthly Volume
8–12 short-form videos per week
2 podcast episodes per month
5–10 podcast clips per podcast episode
1–2 promo/event videos per month
Workload may increase over time.

Strong instinct for pacing, retention, hooks, and modern social editing
Confidence suggesting better ways to structure/edit content
Organisation & Professionalism
Excellent file management and project organisation
Ability to keep projects clean and collaborative for team access
Strong communication and responsiveness during work hours
Team Collaboration
Comfortable discussing edits live when needed
Able to ask questions early instead of waiting for problems
Understand how to work within a production pipeline
Required Skills
Strong Adobe Premiere Pro skills (Required)
Must work primarily within Adobe Premiere Pro / Adobe Creative Suite

Experience editing podcasts / multi-camera content

Experience creating engaging short-form clips from long-form content
Good understanding of YouTube / social media formatting
Basic Canva / thumbnail design ability
Bonus: After Effects / Motion Graphics

You must be comfortable working in a professional team workflow and maintaining organised project files that can be accessed and modified by others if required.
Time Zone / Availability
You must have reasonable overlap with Melbourne / Brisbane business hours for communication, revisions, and collaboration.
