JOB OVERVIEW

## About Us

We are a growing YouTube channel focused on teaching a widely used software program to thousands of learners worldwide. Our content includes long-form tutorials, tips and tricks, and short-form content across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. We are looking for a talented and creative video editor to join our team full-time and help take our content to the next level.

This is not a "just cut and trim" kind of role. We want someone who thinks like a creator, brings fresh ideas to the table, and knows how to make educational content visually engaging and easy to follow.

---

## What You Will Be Doing

- Editing 2 to 4 long-form YouTube videos per week (tutorials, walkthroughs, tips)
- Editing 4 to 5 short-form videos per week for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels
- Adding smooth transitions between slides and screen recordings
- Creating basic animations and motion graphics (e.g., icons, graphics, visual callouts)
- Applying strategic zoom-ins and zoom-outs to highlight key areas on screen
- Adding clean annotations, text overlays, and on-screen labels
- Selecting and adding background music and sound effects where appropriate
- Suggesting creative ideas to improve the flow, pacing, and visual quality of each video
- Repurposing long-form content into engaging short-form clips
- Delivering final exports optimized for each platform (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram)

---

## What We Are Looking For

- A strong portfolio or sample reel showing your editing skills (this matters more than years of experience)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience editing educational, tutorial, or screencast-style content is a big plus
- Proficiency in professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- Ability to add basic motion graphics, animations, and visual elements (you do not need to be a full motion designer, but you should be comfortable with these)
- A good eye for pacing, timing, and visual storytelling in educational content
- Ability to take raw footage and independently produce a polished, publish-ready video
- Strong attention to detail (clean audio, proper alignment, consistent styling)
- Reliable internet connection and the ability to handle large file transfers
- Responsiveness on Google Chat for daily communication and updates

---

## Work Setup

- You will receive raw screen recordings and footage from us
- You will edit independently and deliver polished, final videos
- Expected turnaround time: 24 to 48 hours per video
- No fixed working hours. Work on your own schedule as long as deadlines are consistently met
- Daily communication via Google Chat

---

## Why You Will Enjoy This Role

- Long-term, stable, full-time position (not a one-off project)
- Creative freedom to suggest and implement editing ideas
- Work with a growing channel in the education space
- Flexible schedule with no micromanagement
- Room to grow as the channel scales

---
