JOB OVERVIEW

Paid Search Specialist

Location - Remote
Salary: $3,000 USD/month
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM ET (U.S. East Coast Hours)

Role Overview:

We are hiring a technical, "hands-on-keyboard" Paid Search Specialist to serve as a vital member of the media activation team for a leading U.S. data-powered marketing agency. This is an internal-facing, long-term role focused on executing and optimizing high-performing campaigns for diverse agency clients. We are looking for a practitioner who is equally capable of executing day-to-day operations and contributing strategic recommendations that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Campaign Strategy & Development: Lead the end-to-end build of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including Search, Performance Max, Display, Video, and Demand Gen campaign types.
- Platform Mix: Focus primarily on Google Ads (90%) and Microsoft Ads (10%). (Note: No Shopping or e-commerce feed management is currently required).
- Optimization & Performance: Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance on a continuous basis, including bid adjustments, budget pacing, and quality score improvements.
- Analytical Storytelling: Extract data from GA4 and native tools to draft weekly performance narratives that provide "color" and context—explaining the "why" behind the numbers for internal leads.
- Automation & Strategy: Leverage Smart Bidding and automated campaign strategies thoughtfully, validating machine learning signals against specific business requirements.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Audit and troubleshoot tracking setups, pixels, and GA4 events to ensure total data accuracy.
- Team Integration: Collaborate daily via Microsoft Teams with account leads and strategists; this is a highly outgoing, and collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

- Experience: 2–3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns in an agency or in-house environment.
- Account Management: Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously (initially 2–3, scaling to 5–6).
- Platform Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Search, Performance Max, Display, Video, and Demand Gen.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of keyword research methodologies, match type strategy, negative keyword management, and audience targeting.
- Analytics: Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and platform-native reporting tools.
- Software: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (for analysis) and PowerPoint (for client-friendly decks) are essential.
- Soft Skills: Must be coachable, have a learning attitude, and possess the ability to communicate strategic recommendations clearly.
- Home Setup: Reliable quiet work environment, high-speed internet, and webcam for East Coast sync calls.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Google Ads and/or Microsoft Advertising certifications.
- Experience with third-party platforms (e.g., SA360, Marin, Skai).
- Familiarity with paid social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) and cross-channel media strategy.
- Experience with multi-location or zip-code level optimization.

What You Get:

- Stable Role: Long-term, full-time commitment with a U.S. company.
- Support: No direct client-facing pressure initially; ongoing support from the Workspark leadership team.
- Payroll: Bi-monthly payments made via Wise.
- Benefits: Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave (after probation).
