ABOUT THE ROLE
Wags! is a neighborhood pet supply store in Eugene, Oregon with over 20 years of history serving the community. We carry premium pet food, treats, toys, and supplies for dogs and cats.
You will be the operational engine behind Wags! — managing inventory, communicating with vendors, and keeping our store stocked and running smoothly from the Philippines. You won’t just execute tasks; you’ll own outcomes. This is a full-time remote role built for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and thrives without being micromanaged.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Inventory monitoring — tracking stock levels daily using our POS system and flagging items that need reordering
Purchase order management — placing orders with distributors and vendors based on established reorder points
Vendor communication — corresponding with US-based suppliers via
Receiving reconciliation — verifying received shipments match purchase orders and logging discrepancies
Reorder calendar — maintaining a rolling reorder schedule aligned with seasonal demand and sales trends
Weekly reporting — providing the owner with a concise inventory summary and flagging supply chain issues proactively
Process documentation — building and maintaining SOPs for all inventory and ordering workflows
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
College graduate — any field; business, logistics, or supply chain a plus
3+ years of experience in inventory management, operations coordination, purchasing, or supply chain — retail experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with POS or inventory management software — experience with retail or e-commerce platforms strongly preferred
Fluent in English — spoken and written; you will correspond directly with US-based vendors and the store owner
Strong attention to detail — inventory errors have real consequences and we need someone who catches them
Proficient with technology — comfortable with cloud tools, spreadsheets,
Self-directed and results-driven — you manage your own workload and hit deliverables without daily hand-holding
Based in Metro Manila — the owner travels to the Philippines and values the option to meet in person
Own laptop or desktop computer with a strong, reliable internet connection
Available for one weekly video check-in at a mutually agreed time that works for both Philippines Standard Time and US Pacific Time
COMPENSATION & ARRANGEMENT
PHP 60,000 per month, paid directly by the owner
Full-time independent contractor — 35 to 40 hours per week
Fully remote and async-first — you manage your schedule around your deliverables
One weekly video check-in with the owner (time agreed upon mutually)
