Job Summary
The Remote Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal and state regulations for Core Mind Technology’s US operations. The role is 100% remote, full-time, and requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and effective communication in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of all transactions (AP, AR, payroll, journal entries).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) in accordance with US GAAP.
Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, including vendor and customer statement reviews and aging analysis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasts, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.
Support preparation and coordination of federal, state, and local tax filings in collaboration with external tax advisors or internal tax teams.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit inquiries.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements, recommending improvements where needed.

Maintain confidentiality and data security standards when working with sensitive financial information in cloud-based systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
CPA or progress toward CPA is highly preferred for US-focused roles.
2–4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with exposure to US-based companies or US GAAP.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is an advantage.
Skills and Tools
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar cloud-based systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) for data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across time zones.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a remote setup.
Work Schedule and Conditions
Full-time, remote position: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday.
Requires reliable high-speed internet and a suitable home office environment.
Primary collaboration with US-based teams, with regular communication via secure cloud-based tools for accounting, communication, and document management.
Compensation
Hourly rate: 5 USD per hour on a PECP basis (Performance- and Experience-Conditioned Pay).
Full-time schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday, with compensation calculated based on actual hours worked.
