ecommerce bookeeper

This is a remote position with flexible hours, but consistency and accuracy are essential.

? Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English
Proven experience in bookkeeping/accounting
Strong understanding of European Union VAT
Experience with e-commerce businesses (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) is a big plus
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
???? Responsibilities
Match website orders with bank transactions
Verify which orders have been paid
Check and manage customer invoices
Send payment reminders when necessary
Prepare and manage VAT reports (EU)
Record purchase invoices
Track and categorize business expenses
Set up and optimize the accounting system
Assist with import/export documentation and paperwork

Comfortable working with financial data and deadlines
Long-term mindset (not a short-term freelancer)

Knowledge of logistics/import-export processes
Experience working with growing e-commerce brands
