Podcast Editor

I’m looking for a skilled podcast editor with experience in both audio and video editing to support ongoing weekly episodes, which are approximately 50-75 minutes long (raw recording). I use Riverside to record with remote guests or solo episodes.

>> About the Podcast
This is a thoughtful, conversational podcast featuring coaches, therapists, and business owners sharing both expertise and personal experiences. The tone is:
- natural, conversational
- reflective
- not overly scripted
- sometimes slower or pauses paced by design (natural conversation flow)
- This is not fast, high-energy content. The goal is depth, clarity, and authenticity.

>> About the editing:
- I handle the content edit first (cutting and shaping the conversation).
You will receive a content-edited audio file and will:
- clean and enhance audio quality
- balance levels for both speakers
- remove unnecessary filler (when appropriate)
- preserve natural pauses and conversational flow
- edit video to match the audio seamlessly
- add pre-made intro and outro
- ensure final output is polished but still human
- Create 3 reels that fit with the brand feel, but that will increase engagement (Reel content will be provided)

>> What Matters Most
Audio always comes first (video should never disrupt flow)
- Do NOT over-edit pauses (natural silence is intentional)
- Avoid making speech sound robotic
- Strong judgment > aggressive editing
- This role is about knowing what to leave in, not just what to cut, and also to let us sound as natural and professional as possible.

- Experience editing podcasts (audio + video)
- Strong understanding of natural conversation pacing
- Attention to detail with sound quality and transitions
- Ability to follow direction and maintain consistency
- Reliable turnaround times
