We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who brings the strategic oversight of a CPA to our daily financial health. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of accuracy in our books and providing the financial clarity needed to scale our business.
There is strong potential for this position to grow into a full-time role based on performance and evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Bookkeeping & Financial Management
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date financial records, managing all daily transactions (income, expenses, invoices, and payments).
Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant processors.
Ledge Management: Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure healthy cash flow.
Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Compliance: Ensure all internal financial processes adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Strategic Support: Assist management with budget tracking, variance analysis, and year-end closing procedures to ensure the business is "tax-ready" for our external filing partners.
Requirements
Certification: Active CPA license is mandatory.
Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Accountant or Full-Charge Bookkeeper, preferably with a mix of small business and corporate experience.
Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting ecosystems) and Excel.
Analytical Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail and a "compliance-first" mindset.
Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for management.
Reliability: High degree of independence, ability to meet strict month-end deadlines, and a secure, professional remote work setup.
