Remote Loss Prevention & Inventory Audit Specialist

Position: Remote Retail & Wholesale Operations Review Analyst (Part-Time)

Overview
We operate multiple retail and wholesale locations featuring high-value inventory. To support our growth and maintain operational integrity, we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to review operational data and surveillance footage.

A primary focus of this role is theft prevention and loss mitigation. You will be responsible for monitoring both retail and wholesale activities to identify discrepancies, unauthorized activity, or patterns that indicate potential loss. This is not a live monitoring position; instead, you will perform "after-the-fact" audits of data and video footage tied to specific operational events.

Responsibilities
Surveillance & Theft Prevention: Conduct regular reviews of camera footage to monitor for internal and external theft, focusing on high-value inventory handling in both retail and wholesale environments.

Inventory Auditing: Review inventory adjustments, declared waste, and discrepancies to ensure physical stock matches digital records.

Transaction Analysis: Analyze POS activity, including refunds, voids, and unusual transactions, for signs of fraud or operational error.

Operational Compliance: Cross-reference employee timekeeping records with store activity to ensure policy compliance.

Spot Audits: Perform occasional audits of warehouse and retail floor activity via surveillance to ensure standard operating procedures are followed.

Reporting: Maintain a structured log of observations. Provide brief daily summaries and a detailed weekly report highlighting notable issues or suspicious patterns.

Preferred Experience
Loss Prevention: Direct experience in surveillance monitoring or retail security.

Wholesale/Warehouse Operations: Familiarity with high-volume inventory environments.

Inventory Auditing: Experience in retail operations, compliance, or investigative roles.

Hours & Compensation
Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Compensation: $4–$7 USD per hour, depending on experience.
