FingerHug, a company based in Bosnia and Herzegovina specializing in architectural design, project development, professional research, and strategic written content, is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced PhD Researcher / Academic Writer for a remote position.

We are looking for a highly qualified, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with strong experience in research, academic writing, and the preparation of high-quality written materials. The ideal candidate should be capable of conducting in-depth research, producing well-structured and insightful written content, and contributing intellectually to the development of materials related to our work, market positioning, and broader strategic communication.

Requirements and qualifications:
• minimum 10 years of experience in research, academic writing, teaching, or related professional fields
• PhD degree in a relevant field
• strong experience in research methodology, data analysis, and academic or professional writing
• proven ability to write clear, structured, and high-quality articles, reports, analyses, studies, and research-based content
• ability to conduct independent research and synthesize complex information into useful, readable, and well-argued material
• strong analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail
• experience in reviewing sources, evaluating information quality, and preparing evidence-based written work
• ability to work on both academic-style and business-oriented written materials
• strong computer skills
• active command of the English language, both written and spoken
• strong organizational and communication skills
• independence, responsibility, and a professional approach to work
• ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a remote environment

Preferred areas of expertise:
• research and writing related to architecture, urban development, investment, business, market analysis, real estate, or related fields
• experience in preparing professional publications, white papers, articles, strategic documents, or analytical reports
• familiarity with academic and professional citation standards, source validation, and structured argumentation
• ability to translate research findings into content that supports business communication, presentation, and decision-making

Key responsibilities:
