Long Island Select Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) based in Suffolk County, New York, serving over 8,500 patients annually across multiple locations. We provide comprehensive primary care, behavioral health, dental, and specialty services to individuals and families across Long Island, including a significant population of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Marketing & Communications Associate to support our Director of Marketing & Development. This is a full-time remote position requiring availability during Eastern Time business hours. The ideal candidate brings exceptional English writing skills, strong creative instincts, and proven proficiency across graphic design, video production, digital marketing, and content strategy.
This role is fast-paced, high-output, and mission-driven. You will work directly with the Director and, when authorized, with internal staff and external partners including vendors, sponsors, legislators, and media contacts. Healthcare experience is a plus, but drive, precision, and creativity are non-negotiable.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content & Copywriting
Draft, edit, and proofread marketing copy for social media,
Write long-form content including newsletter articles, blog posts, grant narrative support, and community health education pieces
Adapt tone and voice for multiple audiences: patients, donors, corporate sponsors, government stakeholders, and the general public
Maintain brand voice consistency across all written materials
Graphic Design
Design print and digital materials including flyers, brochures, signage, event materials, social media graphics,
Proficient in Canva (required); Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) strongly preferred
Execute design briefs from concept through final production-ready file
Resize and adapt designs across formats and platforms
Video Production & Editing
Produce, edit, and export short-form video content for social media (Instagram Reels,
Edit raw footage, add captions, music, text overlays, and branding elements
Support creation of patient testimonial videos, event recap content, and promotional campaigns
Comfortable working with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent
Digital Marketing
Assist with scheduling and publishing content across
Support Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign monitoring, reporting, and asset creation
Pull performance reports from Google Analytics 4, Meta Ads Manager, and other platforms
Help manage and update website content as directed
Event & Campaign Support
Provide comprehensive support for the organization's annual fundraising events, including the 1st Annual Benefit Golf Classic (August 2026) and other signature events
Assist with sponsor outreach tracking, sponsor packet assembly, landing page updates, and logistics coordination
Build and maintain event timelines, checklists, and project management entries in Monday.com and/or Asana
Support logistics coordination for community outreach events, ribbon cuttings, and public-facing activities
Development & Fundraising Support
Assist with donor communications, acknowledgment letters, and stewardship materials
Support capital campaign and annual giving efforts with design and copy assets
Help maintain donor and sponsor tracking records in HubSpot CRM
Research grant opportunities and assist with narrative drafting when directed
Administrative & Project Management
Manage and update project boards in Monday.com and Asana
Maintain organized digital asset libraries (logos, photos, templates, documents)
Track deadlines and flag deliverables proactively
Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up summaries when needed
Communicate professionally with internal staff and approved external contacts on behalf of the Director
Marketing Strategy
Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans for service line promotions, patient acquisition campaigns, and community outreach initiatives
Assist in identifying target audiences, messaging strategies, and channel selection for campaigns across digital and print
Support tracking and reporting on campaign performance metrics including reach, engagement, patient inquiry volume, and cost per acquisition
Research competitor positioning, community health trends, and demographic data to inform strategic recommendations
Help develop content calendars, campaign timelines, and go-to-market plans for new programs, locations, and events

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent written and spoken English -- this is a strict requirement; your application must demonstrate it
Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating professional-quality work
Demonstrated video editing experience with sample work available
Proficiency in Canva (required) and Adobe Creative Suite (strongly preferred)
Experience with social media management and content scheduling tools
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or similar platforms
Comfortable working in project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, or equivalent)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup
Availability strictly during Eastern Time hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Nice to Have):
Experience working with U.S.-based nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, or community health centers
Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), New York State health systems, or healthcare marketing compliance
Experience with HubSpot CRM
Knowledge of HIPAA basics as it relates to marketing and patient communications
Experience supporting fundraising events, donor relations, or grant writing
