Job Description

This role is focused on turning real-world football kit news, releases, and storylines into high-performing content.

You will research current kit drops, trends, and narratives, extract strong angles, and turn them into scripts for both short-form (TikTok/Reels) and long-form (YouTube) content. The goal is to consistently produce engaging, fast-paced scripts that hold attention and translate well on camera.

You will work closely with our team. A typical workflow is:
• Identify or receive a content idea (new kit, trend, or storyline)
• Collaborate with a designer to create a visual concept
• Write the script that brings the idea to life

This is a high-output role where speed, clarity, and content instinct matter more than perfection.

Responsibilities

• Research football kit news, releases, and trends daily
• Identify strong hooks, angles, and storylines
• Write short-form scripts optimized for retention and engagement
• Write long-form YouTube scripts with clear structure and narrative flow
• Adapt tone and pacing depending on platform (short vs long form)
• Collaborate with designers and iterate based on visuals
• Deliver scripts quickly and consistently

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of football and football culture (required)
• Strong understanding of football kits, kit history, and design trends
• Proven ability to write engaging short-form and long-form content
• Ability to find compelling angles from basic information
• Strong sense of pacing, hooks, and viewer retention
• Fast turnaround and ability to handle consistent output
• Fluent English with clear, concise writing

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience writing for sports or football content
• Familiarity with YouTube storytelling formats. Please include the word “Bluebird” in your application title to show you read this full description.
• Understanding of kit design details (patterns, materials, history)
• Experience working with content teams

Output Expectations

• 4-5 short-form scripts per week
• 1–3 long-form scripts per week
• Scripts that are clear, structured, and ready to record with minimal revisions

If this fits your skillset, please include examples of past writing or content you’ve worked on when applying.
