We're looking for a video editor who's fluent with generative video tools—specifically Seedance 2.0, Runway, and similar models. You're not just hitting generate and hoping; you're using these as actual production tools, understanding their outputs well enough to integrate them into real creative workflows.
You'll own the production pipeline for Babaru content—from concept to final render. That means: structuring narratives, directing prompts to AI models for the specific shot/style you need, assembling the raw outputs, color-grading, sound design, and delivering polished content.
What You'll Do
Operate generative video models (Seedance 2.0, Runway, etc.) with technical precision—understanding latency, memory, output characteristics
Edit and composite AI-generated video with traditional footage, VFX, and graphics
Build templates and workflows that other creators on the team can follow
Ship weekly content (hero videos, shorts, mockumentaries) that hit brand voice exactly
Collaborate with creative direction but work independently on execution
Troubleshoot model outputs, iterate on prompts, optimize for quality vs. render time
Who You Are
3+ years video editing experience (Premiere, After Effects, or equivalent)
Hands-on experience with at least two generative video tools (Seedance, Runway, Pika, etc.)
You understand codec, resolution, frame rate, and color space—not just what looks good
Fast iteration mindset; you ship rough cuts and polish in response to feedback
You can take direction from a voice/vibe and execute without a script
Portfolio that shows you've actually integrated AI tools into finished work (not just AI-generated clips)
Nice to Have
Sound design basics (Audition, Reaper, or equivalent)
Experience with animation or motion graphics
Familiarity with Hong Kong/Asia creative market preferences
Comfortable learning new generative tools as they ship
Why This Matters
Babaru launches in weeks. We're shipping hero video, shorts, mockumentaries, and party game content—all of it needs to feel cohesive, intentional, and fast. This role is about making AI video tools work in service of real creative vision, not the other way around.
