About the Role:
Eco Property Maintenance is a growing Canadian property maintenance company with ~25+ field staff. We are hiring a full-time HR Operations Administrator to own and execute our people processes — hiring support, onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HR administration. You will work from clear SOPs, checklists, and scripts, and escalate decisions when required.

If you are highly organized, detail-oriented, confident communicating in English, and experienced supporting North American companies remotely — this role will be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hiring & Recruitment Support
-Maintain and post job ads across platforms (e.g. Indeed)
-Screen resumes against defined criteria
-Conduct initial screening calls with candidates
-Record call notes and candidate details in our HR system (BambooHR or tracker)
-Complete interviews / record to share with managers
-Track candidates through the hiring pipeline
-Maintain organized hiring records and status updates
-Coordinate trial days with zone managers

2. Onboarding (Primary Focus)
Send onboarding packages to new hires (contracts, tax forms, personal info forms, etc.)
-Track completion of all onboarding documents
-Maintain and follow onboarding checklists
-Ensure system access, documentation, and setup steps are completed
-Ensure every new hire receives a consistent onboarding experience

3. Offboarding
-Trigger and manage offboarding checklists
-Prepare and process ROEs
-Coordinate benefits cancellation
-Collect company property (documentation + tracking)
-Conduct exit interviews using provided scripts
-Log and categorize exit reasons for management review

4. HR Administration & Compliance Tracking
-Maintain up-to-date employee records
-Track required documents and certifications
-Monitor WCB-related documentation and requirements
-Flag missing or expired documents
-Escalate compliance issues to management when needed
(You will not interpret employment law — only track and report)

5. Employee Support & Engagement (Structured)
-Schedule and support periodic employee check-ins
-Assist with performance review scheduling
-Track goals and follow-ups for field staff
-Collect employee feedback using structured questions
-Summarize trends and insights for management

What This Role Is NOT:
-Making hiring or termination decisions
-Interpreting employment law or policies
-Handling employee conflicts independently
-Negotiating compensation or benefits
-Creating policy without approval
-You will execute processes, document outcomes, and escalate when guidance is needed.

Required Qualifications:
-2+ years experience in HR administration, recruitment support, or people operations
-Experience supporting North American (US or Canadian) companies
-Fluent spoken and written English (required)
-Comfortable running screening calls independently
-Strong attention to detail and follow-up

-Reliable internet and professional remote setup

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience working remotely with Canadian companies
-Familiarity with HR software (BambooHR or similar)
-Experience hiring blue-collar or field-based employees
-Prior VA or remote HR role

Tools You’ll Use:
