Seeking a case manager with experience handling personal injury claims. New York State specific personal injury experience highly preferred. Paralegal experience a plus.
Our main office is based in Texas but we are opening a New York office as well and will need remote help to support our staff.
Typical Case Manager Duties Include:
Client Communication & Support: Serving as the main contact for clients to answer questions, explain processes, and provide reassurance throughout the legal process.
Medical Record Management: Gathering medical records, bills, and reports from healthcare providers to track the client's treatment progress and calculate total damages.
Case Organization & Documentation: Opening new files, organizing evidence (police reports, photos), and updating the firm's case management system.
Liaising with Providers & Insurance: Scheduling medical appointments, arranging transportation, and handling communications with insurance adjusters.
Supporting Attorneys: Preparing case summaries, assisting in drafting demand letters, and preparing for depositions or hearings.
Settlement & Closing: Assisting in the settlement process by verifying outstanding balances, handling liens (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid), and closing out files.
Pay is open to negotiations depending on experience and qualifications. Hours to be discussed.
