Senior Business Systems Specialist (Client Services)

We are a US-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a high-level Senior Business Systems Specialist to help us build, lead, and scale our Software Solutions department.

This is a unique, multi-disciplinary role designed for a strategic thinker who sits at the intersection of Finance, Business Operations, AI, and Technology. We aren't just looking for an implementer; we are looking for a partner in growth. You will work directly with leadership to build out our service offerings, meet with potential clients to architect solutions, and eventually help us recruit and mentor the team that will execute your vision. Key Responsibilities
*Practice Development & Strategy
- Partner with leadership to define and build out our Software Solutions Department services, specifically defining our "go-to-market" strategy for AI, automation, and system integration.
- Evaluate, vet, and select cutting-edge AI tools, LLMs, and integration patterns (such as iPaaS, custom APIs, and Microsoft Copilot Studio) that can be productized and scaled for our client base.
- Develop standardized implementation methodologies, project templates, and integration/automation best practices for our delivering team.

*Presales, Client Advisory & Solution Selling
- Join leadership in high-level discovery meetings with prospective clients to identify operational pain points, inefficiency, and manual bottlenecks.
- Articulate the value of AI-driven automation and system integration, acting as the technical authority to "sell" these solutions and demonstrate substantial ROI to non-technical business leaders.
- Translate complex business requirements into high-impact "Proof of Concepts" (POCs), design blueprints, and comprehensive technical scopes.
- Lead the technical scoping, estimation, and pricing of projects, ensuring Scopes of Work (SOWs) are technically feasible, accurate, profitable, and highly achievable.

*Senior Implementation & Delivery
- Act as the lead consultant and chief architect for high-value Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and AI/Automation implementations.
- Design and deploy complex system integrations (APIs, ETL processes, middleware) to ensure seamless, real-time data flows across disparate applications in the client's tech stack.
- Architect advanced Power BI reporting suites and data models that provide clients with real-time visibility into their financial, operational, and automated workflow health.
- Oversee complex data migrations and governance, ensuring utmost data integrity and security across all customer platforms.

*Team Building & Mentorship
- Lead, and mentor a growing team of Power Platform Analysts and AI & Automation Solutions Consultants.
- Help define the roles, technical certifications, and skill matrices needed as we scale the Software Solutions practice.
- Provide deep technical mentorship and "over-the-shoulder" code and design reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable delivery across all client projects.

*Operational & Financial Consulting
- Use your understanding of business operations and finance to advise clients on process improvements, heavily leveraging AI and automation for workflows like automated billing, smart inventory management, and automated financial consolidation.
- Ensure all automated workflows, integrations, and system configurations align with GAAP/audit requirements and support long-term compliance and enterprise scalability.

Required Qualifications
* Experience: 7–10+ years in business systems consulting, systems integration, solution architecture, or IT leadership. Prior Managed Service Provider (MSP) or Professional Services consulting experience is highly preferred.
* Business & Finance Acumen: A strong, native understanding of core business operations and accounting principles (P&L, Cash Flow, AP/AR, and operational workflows).
* Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Mastery: Proven track record of architecting and implementing complex Dynamics 365 (F&O, Business Central, or CE) environments, Power Apps, and complex Power Automate flows.
* AI & Automation Expertise: Direct experience architecting and implementing AI solutions (e.g., custom LLM integrations, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, OCR/Document Processing AI, or RPA).
* Integration Experience: Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, iPaaS solutions (like Make, Workato, or Zapier), and ETL pipelines to connect disparate cloud software suite ecosystems.
* Presales & Solutions Advisory: Proven experience in client-facing consulting roles, including scoping, estimating, and presenting solutions directly to C-suite stakeholders to secure new business.
* Leadership Mindset: A strong desire to move beyond "doing the work" into building a practice, leading a team, and scaling an organization.

Preferred (Nice to Have)
* Professional accounting background (CPA, CMA) or deep experience configuring ERP financial modules.
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform Solution Architect, Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, or Azure AI Engineer).
* Previous experience in a "Founding" or "Lead" role within a fast-growing technical practice or startup department.
