Video Editor — UGC & Social Content (Remote, Philippines-Based)
We're a Female Condom company looking for a talented video editor based in the Philippines to join our team on a freelance basis. If you have a great creative eye, love social media content, and know how to make videos feel alive — keep reading.
What you'll be doing
You'll be taking raw UGC footage and transforming it into scroll-stopping social content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This means adding motion graphics, fun animations, captions, and sound design that elevate the video without losing that authentic, real-person feel. You'll work primarily on short-form content (Reels, TikToks) and will play a big role in shaping how our brand shows up visually on social.
What we're looking for
You have a genuine feel for what makes content perform on social — you watch Reels and TikToks and instinctively know why something works. You can take a raw, unpolished clip and make it gripping without making it feel produced or salesy (think about the videos that content creators in New York City are making). You understand the difference between content that feels like an ad and content that actually stops people from scrolling — and you always aim for the latter. You're comfortable with motion graphics and animation and know how to use them to add energy and personality rather than noise. You're proactive, communicative, and take creative ownership of your work.
Must-haves
You're proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or CapCut (or a combination). You have experience editing short-form social content specifically — a portfolio that shows this is essential. You have a strong sense of pacing, music, and sound design. You're reliable, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly in English. Experience with After Effects or motion graphics tools.
Strong grasp of visual hierarchy — knowing how to use scale, contrast, and placement to guide the viewer's eye and emphasize the right
Understands how to create captions and text overlays that add context or emotion rather than just transcribing what's being said. Keeps a pulse on design trends to ensure content feels current and platform-native, not dated. Knows how to balance brand consistency with visual freshness — so everything looks cohesive without feeling repetitive. Can make deliberate choices around font, color, and motion that elevate the content and reflect a premium, modern aesthetic
Nice to haves
A background in or passion for health, wellness, or lifestyle content. Experience working with UGC creators or social-first brands.
How to apply
Please send an edited version of this video as an example of your capabilities:
Please provide a rundown of all the edits you made and why you made them. I am looking for someone with strong strategic skills.
WHAT I'LL BE LOOKING FOR:
-Color correction
-Sound correction
-Strong understanding of how to use captions to make the content better. Do you emphasize important words?
-What fonts are you using? Are they interesting and current? (A lot of editors on here use fonts that look outdated)
-Are you able to look at the examples I've given and create content that feels really similar to the style.
-How are you using sounds to make the content more fun and engaging? Sometimes the content needs music, other times music will make it feel too much like an infomercial. Are you able to distinguish when it's appropriate to use music and when you should be letting the content stand alone?
