About Us
We’re a personal development brand helping people build lasting happiness and navigate major life transitions. Our founder runs online courses and coaching programs on a WordPress website. We’ve recently completed a comprehensive SEO audit and strategy, and we need someone to execute the technical implementation — fixing issues, publishing content, optimizing pages, and building the internal linking structure.
The Role
You’ll be implementing a detailed SEO action plan on our WordPress site using Yoast SEO. The full technical audit and action plan already exist — you’ll be executing fixes, not diagnosing problems.
This includes: fixing H1 tags, writing/pasting meta descriptions, setting up redirects, restructuring navigation, creating new pages, adding schema markup, building internal links, publishing blog content (written by our content writer), and optimizing page speed.
You’ll work closely with our SEO content writer and report directly to the founder.
What You’ll Do Each Week
•
Publish 5–7 new blog posts in WordPress (formatted, tagged, internal links added, Yoast fields completed)
•
Fix on-page SEO issues from the audit checklist (H1 tags, meta descriptions, title tags, canonical tags)
•
Set up 301 redirects for duplicate/deprecated pages
•
Build and maintain internal linking between blog posts and hub pages
•
Create new pages as needed (hub pages, landing pages)
•
Add and verify schema markup (Organization, Person, Course, Article)
•
Monitor Google Search Console for index coverage, crawl errors, and Core Web Vitals
•
Optimize page speed (lazy-load images, defer JS, compress images, caching plugin setup)
•
Restructure navigation menus per the SEO action plan
•
Send a weekly progress report (what was done, what’s next)
You’re a Great Fit If
•
You have 2+ years working with WordPress and Yoast SEO
•
You understand on-page SEO: H1 tags, meta descriptions, title tags, canonical tags, schema markup, internal linking
•
You can set up 301 redirects and know when to use them
•
You’re familiar with Google Search Console and can interpret basic reports
•
You’ve worked with page speed optimization (image compression, caching plugins like WP Rocket, lazy loading)
•
You can format and publish blog content cleanly in WordPress (headings, images, links, categories/tags)
•
You know basic HTML (enough to check heading tags and add schema if needed)
•
You’re detail-oriented — SEO implementation is about doing 50 small things right, not one big thing
•
You communicate clearly and send updates without being asked
Test Task (Required with Application)
Record a 5-minute screen share (Loom or similar) showing how you would:
1.Add a proper H1 tag to a WordPress page
2.Write and add a meta description in Yoast SEO
3.Set up a 301 redirect (explain which plugin or method you’d use)
4.Add an internal link within an existing blog post
You can use any WordPress site you have access to — we just want to see that you know the tools.
Long-term position (this is ongoing, not a one-time project)
How to Apply
Send your application with:
1.A brief intro about yourself and your WordPress/SEO experience
2.Links to 1–2 WordPress sites you’ve worked on (or screenshots showing your work)
3.Your completed test task (the screen recording described above)
4.Your expected hourly rate
Applications without the test task will not be reviewed.
