Need a reliable, detail-oriented IT freelancer to provide light, ongoing technical operations support for a small technology consulting firm.
Chasm Opportunities LLC needs someone who can be a part-time “IT partner” for a few hours each month. You must be able to work independently with clear written instructions.
Initial Priorities (First 2 Months):
• Migrate existing WordPress site to Hostinger
o Move current WordPress website from a marketing agency’s hosting to Hostinger.
o Ensure all pages, contact forms, and basic tracking continue to work after the move.
o Coordinate with Porkbun for any necessary DNS and
• Fix and verify Contact form /
o Confirm that the site’s “Contact Me” form correctly sends
o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues so that all form submissions are reliably delivered and not lost or routed to spam.
• Google Workspace admin review (screen-share only)
o Join me on screen-share; you will guide, and I will click.
o Review Google Workspace Business Standard settings for a solo consultant plus freelancers (users, aliases, 2-step verification, sharing defaults, basic security posture).
o Discuss any obvious security gaps or misconfigurations and recommend simple, practical improvements.
• Set up Google Group
o Create one or more Google Groups / group
o Help configure delivery, permissions, and access so the group
Ongoing Monthly Tasks (2 hours/week total):
• Light WordPress maintenance
o Link new content from my Substack to the website as needed.
o Periodically verify that the contact form is still working.
o Monitor basic tracking (Google tags / analytics and similar tools) and report as needed.
• Basic IT support and troubleshooting
o Help with basic Google Workspace questions, user aliases, groups, and simple configuration changes.
o Assist with small issues related to cloud management (DropBox/OneDrive/Google Drive).
o Provide advice on basic endpoint / PC hygiene when needed.
• RSS and information feeds
o Help build out and maintain a Feedly (or similar) network by adding and organizing RSS feeds relevant to my portfolio of startups (e.g., industry news, grant funding opportunities, government solicitations).
• Basic automation and workflows
o Develop basic automations using Zapier or similar tools, such as:
? Exporting CRM data fields to a spreadsheet.
? Generating auto
? Other simple business automations between cloud tools (e.g., calendar, CRM, forms,
• Security awareness and CMMC-aligned support (longer term)
o Have a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts; familiarity or willingness to learn about CMMC is a plus (no prior CMMC experience required).
o Over time, collaborate with me as I develop a systems security plan to meet emerging CMMC requirements for federal contractors (this will come after higher-priority tasks are completed).

Familiarity with any of these tools is helpful but not required; the core requirements are WordPress, DNS/Google Workspace, CRM experience, RSS management, and basic cloud management (e.g., Dropbox).
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience with:
o WordPress site administration and migrating WordPress between hosting providers.
o DNS changes for websites and
o Google Workspace Admin console (not just Gmail use) — user management, aliases, basic security settings, groups/distribution lists.
o Managing and organizing RSS feeds (e.g., in Feedly or similar tools).
• Tools and domains:
o Comfort working with CRM tools (any CRM is fine—experience just needs to show you understand basic CRM concepts).
o Experience managing cloud storage tools such as Dropbox or similar.
o Willingness to work with my specific stack over time (Google Workspace, Porkbun,
• Professionalism and trust:
o Ability to work with time-limited access and screensharing (I keep Super Admin and you guide me through changes).
o Reliable for a small but ongoing commitment of 4–6 hours per month.
o Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as part of the onboarding process.
• Language:
o English level C1 or C2 (top two tiers on OnlineJobs.ph) is required, to support clear written updates and documentation.
Potential to Grow:
If your service is exceptional and you have the capacity, there is potential to grow into a broader role providing basic IT support for Chasm Opportunities clients as well. This would be a new service offering to my small network of startup companies, where you could help them with light IT, WordPress, Google Workspace, Outlook
Work Hours & Logistics:
• Approximately 2 hours per week, ongoing.
• Flexible schedule, but ability to overlap with US Central Time for at least some hours per month for live calls / screen-share sessions.
• Payment via mutually agreed method.
• This role is strictly limited to ~2 hours per week. Tasks will be broken into small, manageable pieces, and I’m comfortable taking longer to complete the overall roadmap.
