JOB OVERVIEW

Hi! I’m looking for a creative short-form video editor to help bring my email marketing online course content to life. Most of the students taking this course are women in their 20's and 30's, so I'd love to work with someone who is up on modern, creative video trends.

What you’ll be working on:
I’ll be providing recorded talking-head videos (mistakes already edited out), and you’ll be responsible for enhancing the watching experience through editing. There are approximately 50 videos, each around 5–15 minutes long.

The goal:
These aren’t YouTube videos created for entertainment purposes, they’re educational. So the editing should:
-support learning and comprehension
-highlight key ideas
-keep things visually engaging without being distracting
(And still feel fun to watch)

Scope of Work
Visual Enhancements
-Text + graphic overlays to reinforce key concepts
-Light motion graphics or callouts where helpful
-Static zooms and subtle movement to keep things dynamic
-Occasional GIFs or visuals where they genuinely add value
-Clean transitions (nothing overly flashy)
-Sound balancing and light sound design (sound effects + intro and outro music) where appropriate

Overall, think:creative, fun, thoughtful, personality-focused, not stiff or formal.

Required Skills
-Proficiency in tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar
-Strong sense of pacing and storytelling (even in educational content)
-Ability to make judgment calls on when to add visuals vs keep it simple
-Clear communication for feedback and revisions

Portfolio
Please include examples of:
-Talking-head content
-YouTube-style or educational/course content

Timeline
Start date: April 2026
Project timeline: ~1–2 months
(I’ll provide videos in batches each week to keep things manageable)

Additional Notes
This is a one-time project for now, but there’s a strong possibility for ongoing work if it’s a good fit!

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy working on, I’d love to see your work and hear more about your editing style.
Thanks so much, I appreciate your time!

Hollie :)
