JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We are looking for a creative and trend-savvy Part-Time Video Editor to transform our existing video library into high-impact short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels. We have 20–50 raw videos ready to go, and we need someone who can make them scroll-stopping, engaging, and shareable.
This is a flexible, remote position — perfect for a creative professional who lives and breathes social media trends and knows what it takes to hook an audience in the first three seconds.

What You'll Do
? Edit and repurpose existing raw footage into polished short-form Reels (15–90 seconds)
? Add trending audio, music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance engagement
? Incorporate on-screen text, captions, animated subtitles, and motion graphics
? Apply current social media trends — hooks, transitions, effects, pacing — to maximize reach
? Optimize each video for platform-specific formats (vertical 9:16, square, horizontal)
? Deliver a consistent volume of edited content on an agreed-upon schedule
? Stay up to date with trending sounds, visual styles, and content formats on each platform
? Collaborate on content strategy and provide creative input to improve performance

What We're Looking For
? Proven experience editing short-form social media video (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, etc.)
? Strong portfolio showcasing engaging, high-retention social content
? Proficiency in editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
? Deep understanding of what makes content perform on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook
? Eye for visual storytelling, pacing, color grading, and audio mixing
? Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage a content queue
? Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
