JOB OVERVIEW

The Mission: New York Family Law Group exists because families belong in the living room, not the courtroom. We are a dynamic and rapidly growing firm handling complex divorce and custody cases. We don't need a paper-pusher; we need a strategic partner who protects the attorneys' time and manages the chaos of litigation with a "No Drama" attitude.

Your Impact (Responsibilities):
- Case Ownership: You don't just "do tasks." You manage the file from intake to billing, ensuring 90% of tasks are completed by the due date.
- Drafting & Discovery: You will draft motions, pleadings, and manage discovery with a sickening degree of attention to detail.
- Client Management: You are the first line of defense. You handle emotional clients with empathy but firm boundaries, ensuring they feel heard without derailing the legal team.
- Billable Excellence: You will accurately capture 360 hours per quarter of billable time

The "Must-Haves" (Non-Negotiable):
- Remote Readiness: You must have a verified backup power source (generator/battery) and a redundant internet connection (Fiber + 5G backup).
- Prior customer service experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Spanish-speaking is an asset
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9 am-5:30 pm Eastern Standard Time.

How to Apply: To ensure you are the detail-oriented person we need, do NOT just send a resume; instead, do this:
- Email your Resume, Cover Letter, and a 3-minute video introduction to ----------

- Subject Line: "Paralegal Submission – [Your Name in All Caps]".

- In the body of the email, answer the 4 Screening Questions listed below:

1. Scenario: You need to update an attorney who is currently in court and checking emails on their watch. They do not have time to scroll.
Task: Rewrite the paragraph below into: A) A clear Subject Line. B) A one-sentence summary.
Original Text: 'I was calling the court all morning and finally got through to the clerk, who said that the Judge is out sick today, so the motion that was supposed to be heard at 2:00 PM is actually going to be rescheduled for next Tuesday at 10:00 AM.'

2. You are working remotely. Clio crashes, and you lose internet power simultaneously. You have a deadline in 1 hour. List the exact 3 steps you take to solve this.

3. Describe a time a supervisor gave you negative feedback that you felt was unfair. How did you respond in the ---------- nt, and what was the outcome?

4. What is your monthly Salary expectation?
