AutoCAD Draftsman (Residential Plans | Long-Term Opportunity)

I’m looking for a skilled and fast AutoCAD draftsman to help complete residential construction drawings based on my references and direction.

This is a project-based role with the goal of becoming a long-term, full-time position. You will be my first team member, with opportunity to grow as the company grows.

What You’ll Do
Complete residential plans from provided references
Produce clean, accurate, and visually strong drawings
Work primarily in 2D AutoCAD (some light 3D in SketchUp)
Follow simple, consistent drafting standards
Ensure drawings generally align with U.S. IRC code (guidance provided)
Requirements
Strong experience in AutoCAD (must be fast and efficient)
Comfortable working in imperial units
Good English (reading/writing)
Reliable, consistent, and meets deadlines
Has own computer with AutoCAD and SketchUp
Detail-oriented with a focus on clean presentation
Work Style
Flexible schedule, but must be consistent and dependable
Occasional rush projects
Typical project: 60–120 hours
Mix of slower and busier weeks (kept balanced)
Important

No storing, sharing, or using projects for personal promotion
You may use tools like ChatGPT for learning, code checks, and spelling
