With approximately 20 employees and continued growth, we are focused on strengthening our financial systems, improving operational visibility, and building scalable processes.

Our team includes U.S.-based staff and three remote tea ---------- mbers in the Philippines, and we are looking for an experienced construction accountant / financial operations professional to help us improve financial accuracy, job costing, and operational insight.

This role is fully remote, but the candidate must be available to work during U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours.

POSITION OVERVIEW
* We are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant or Financial Controller with strong knowledge of ServiceTitan, QuickBooks, and job costing within the trades industry.

* This role will focus on financial visibility, job cost accuracy, root-cause analysis of financial issues, and improving financial workflows across the business.

*The right candidate will not only maintain accurate books but will also identify operational issues that impact profitability and provide actionable insights to leadership.

INITIAL PRIORITIES

*The first phase of this position will focus on cleaning up and improving financial systems:

*Investigate and resolve $0 invoices within ServiceTitan, identifying root causes and correcting workflow issues

*Set up and organize Accounts Payable and vendor management inside ServiceTitan and Quickbooks

*Ensure vendors, purchase orders, and job costs are properly connected to projects

*Clean up employee records and classifications in QuickBooks

*Review and improve ServiceTitan and QuickBooks integration workflows

*Implement processes that allow leadership to understand where the business stands financially on a weekly basis

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Manage accounting operations including accounts payable, vendor management, and financial reporting

*Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks

* Run payroll

*Work within ServiceTitan to review invoices, job costing, financial transactions, and operational workflows

*Monitor job costing and project profitability across service and construction work

*Investigate financial irregularities such as $0 invoices, incorrect job costing, or missing billing

*Identify root causes of financial or operational breakdowns and recommend corrective actions

*Provide clear financial insight and reporting to leadership

*Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

*Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decisions

*Monitor cash flow and spending categories

*Provide alerts regarding unusual spending or operational inefficiencies

*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

*Help improve and maintain financial systems and workflows

*Collaborate with internal staff and remote tea ---------- mbers to ensure accurate financial data

*Assist in building processes that support scaling operations

QUALIFICATIONS

*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

*3+ years experience in construction or trades accounting

*MUST HAVE Strong experience with ServiceTitan

*MUST HAVE Proficiency with QuickBooks

*Experience with job costing and contractor financial workflows

*Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles

*Experience managing accounts payable and vendor systems

*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

*Ability to identify financial trends and operational inefficiencies

*Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

*Strong communication skills for presenting insights to leadership

*Experience with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or service contractors

*CPA certification or advanced accounting degree

WORK ENVIRONMENT- Fully remote. Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time Zone business hours. Work alongside a distributed team including U.S. staff and tea ---------- mbers in the Philippines

COMPENSATION
Compensation depends on experience and level of responsibility.
